I captured this on a misty morning in Quito's historic center, mesmerized by how the rain-slicked cobblestones reflected the candy-colored colonial facades. What drew my eye was the incredible contrast between the orderly architecture at street level and the seemingly chaotic yet beautiful cascade of homes climbing the hillside behind. Each house painted in its own distinct color created a living mosaic that felt both spontaneous and harmonious.
