Historic Maritime Mural on Portland Stone Village Wall

I discovered this hidden courtyard on a moody spring afternoon in Portland, drawn by the incredible weathered mural depicting ships sailing around the isle. The contrast between the historic maritime painting slowly returning to the stone and the cheerful blanket of daisies spreading across the lawn captivated me completely. Standing there, I could almost hear the echoes of sailors and quarrymen who walked these grounds centuries ago.
