I was walking along this extraordinary black volcanic beach when I spotted this Adelie penguin picking its way through the scattered ice chunks. The contrast was surreal—brilliant white ice sculptures deposited by the tide onto jet-black sand, like nature had created its own abstract art installation. This little penguin seemed utterly unfazed, treating each ice block as just another obstacle in its daily commute. I crouched low and waited for the perfect moment when it paused, seemingly contemplating its next move through this frozen maze.
