Weddell Seal on Antarctic Ice Floe Wildlife Wall Art

I captured this magnificent Weddell seal during our expedition through the Antarctic sea ice. The zodiac brought us close enough to witness this beautiful creature in its element, completely at ease on the floating ice platform. The mottled pattern of its coat against the luminous blue-white ice created a natural contrast I knew would translate beautifully to canvas. The seal acknowledged our presence with a calm glance before settling back into its peaceful rest.
