About the Piece

I captured this extraordinary moment during my Antarctic expedition, standing in absolute awe as hundreds of Gentoo penguins went about their daily routines against the most dramatic backdrop imaginable. The sheer scale of the glacier wall behind them took my breath away – a towering fortress of blue and white ice that has existed for millennia. The penguins seemed completely unfazed by the grandeur surrounding them, waddling across the rocky shore as if this frozen cathedral was simply home.
