Gentoo Penguin on Iceberg with Dramatic Antarctic Cliffs

I captured this moment from a zodiac boat as we drifted silently through the ice-studded waters. This little gentoo had claimed the highest point of a floating iceberg, completely unfazed by our presence. The sheer dark cliffs behind created such a dramatic backdrop that I held my breath waiting for the perfect pose. When it turned its profile toward the water, orange beak gleaming, I knew I had something special.
