About the Piece

I held my breath as the zodiac bobbed in the frigid waters, watching this extraordinary procession unfold before me. The penguins moved with such purpose along the rocky outcrop, completely indifferent to my presence, their ancient ritual of heading to sea playing out as it has for millennia.
